Terms of service

The terms that will live here cover the marketplace relationship: who the platform contracts with, what the platform does and does not warrant about a listed writer, how milestone payments are held and released, who is liable for a chargeback, and how disputes are handled. Separately, every engagement carries its own agreement covering copyright assignment and confidentiality between the client and the writer — that text is snapshotted at acceptance and is the document that actually governs a book.

Copyright assignment has statutory formalities in the United States and the payment-hold arrangement deserves a real legal answer rather than an assumption. Both are going to a lawyer before launch.
